RTD Introduction

Manstronic’s platinum resistance elements are specially designed to ensure precise and repeatable temperature versus resistance characteristics. The sensors are made with controlled purity platinum, have high purity ceramic components and constructed in a unique strain-free manner.

RTDs are best for most industrial measurements over a wide temperature range, especially when sensor stability is essential for proper control. Generally speaking, if accuracy is your most important concern and the application temperature is between 140°C and 650°C RTDs are probably the best choice. Three-wire is the most common but four-wire provides higher system accuracy.



Straight Probe Assemblies

Features:
1/4" diameter 304, 316 SS sheath;
Operating range –320° to 900°F;
Teflon insulated lead wires;
Single or dual elements and 2, 3 or 4 wire element configurations

Rigid Probe Assemblies with Airtight Sealed Connector


Features:
1/4" diameter 304, 316 SS sheath with hermetically sealed 4-pin connector
on 1/2 NPT mount;
Operating range –320°F to 900°F single or dual elements;
2, 3 or 4 wire configurations.

Rigid Probe Assemblies with Hex Fittings


Features:
1/4" diameter, 304, 316 SS sheath and 1/2 NPT threaded fitting for connection
head assembly;
Operating range –320°F to 900°F;
Teflon insulated lead wires;
Single or dual elements and 2, 3 or 4 wire element configurations

Airtight Sealed Assemblies


Features:
1/4" dia. SS sheath;
Operating range –320°F to 900°F;
Teflon insulated 3–conductor cable;
Integral airtight seal. Single or Dual element.
